University Assistant Post-Doc (all genders)

At the Institute of Logic and Computation, in the Research Unit of Databases and Artificial Intelligence (192-02) TU Wien is offering a position as University Assistant Post-Doc (all genders) limtited to expected 31.12.2028 for 40 hours/week. We note that this position is primarily focused on teaching.

Tasks:
Work on the development and implementation of the AI4all project across Bachelor’s, Master’s and extension programmes at TU Wien
Work on the design, implementation, and scaling of a blended‑learning module on foundational AI and data‑management concepts within the project
Independent teaching or participation in teaching and supervision of students
The ability to develop methods, concepts, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute in interdisciplinary projects
Research activities in the relevant field
Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Your profile:
Completion of an appropriate doctorate
In-depth knowledge of the subject area
Teaching experience in areas covered by the AI4all module (AI and Data Management)
A strong interest and enthusiasm for teaching and engaging with students
Publications in recognized journals and conferences
Experience in project management and presentations
Theoretical and applied knowledge of the data science workflow and data processing
Interdisciplinary work
Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
Teamwork skills, communication skills, and problem solving competence
Very good skills in English communication and writing (Knowledge of German – level B2) or willingness to learn it Enthusiasm, sense of responsibility, capacity for reflection, willingness to learn, accuracy and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments
