At the Institute of Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Informatics at TU Wien, the position of a University Professor (all genders) for the specialist field of “Parallel Computing” with permanent (full-time) contractual employment is expected to be filled as of October 1, 2026.
The research areas of the successful candidate should cover some of the following research topics in the context of multi-/many-core systems and heterogeneous architectures:
· Algorithms, models, tools, and data structures for parallel computing, including AI-enabled parallel computing and parallel-computing-enabled AI
· Performance- and hardware-oriented programming and software engineering of parallel systems
· Compilers, runtime systems, operating systems, and middleware for parallel systems
