At the Institute of Management Science, in the Research Group for Human-Machine-Interaction TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant post-doc (all genders) limited expected 6 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: November 2025.

Tasks:
Design, implement, supervise, and conduct scientific investigation of multimodal human-robot interaction in interdisciplinary contexts
The ability to develop methods, concepts, as well as their realization and evaluation and the willingness to contribute in interdisciplinary scientific projects
Independant teaching via lecturing and student thesis supervision
Write and publish scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and disseminate research results to an international audience
Apply to and manage third-party research funding programs
Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

Your profile:
Completion of an appropriate doctorate and in-depth knowledge of the subject area
Experience in national and international research cooperation as well as in project management and presentations
Experience in teaching and publication activities as well as interest and pleasure in research and work/support with students
Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
Experience in multimodal data collection and analysis, especially in human electroencephalography (EEG), eye-tracking, facial expression and behavioral data
Experience with VR using 3D-physics engines such as Unity and Unreal to design and execute behavioral and cognitive experiments
Experience in developing and utilizing machine learning and deep learning models (Tensorflow, Pytorch) for neural and physiological data
Experience and knowledge with topics such as assembly processes, multisensory perception, human learning, hyperscanning, risk-taking behavior, and EEG data preprocessing methods for noise reduction
ROS/ROS2 experience in programming robotic manipulators
Proficient programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C#, C++, and SQL
Experience in writing internationally peer-reviewed scientific publications and grant applications
Excellent English communication skills in both verbal and written forms (C1+), with at least a working understanding of the German knowledge (B1+) and the willingness to improve to B2

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 4.932,90/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
